Meisterr Coilovers

MeisterR specialise in performance coilovers, I asked if they will be bringing out a set for the Auris, this is what he said:

"Development for a new product takes time and money.

While I don't mind developing new product, I will need a fair amount of interests (usually 5+ people) and someone willing to be a test car.

Standard coilovers need to be send to the engineering department. Technical drawing need to be made for the top mount and bracket and CNC program need to be set up. Once that is done, the finished suspension need to be put on a test car to confirm the spring rate and damper valving. If that is all good, then you can go on to production.

Otherwise, damper need to be revalved and springs need to be matched... therefore it isn't something that can happen within a week.

If you can find a few owners who are interested in coilovers for the Auris, I am sure I can arrange something."

will anyone be interested in MeisterR Coilovers? let me know and i`ll see what MeisterR can do about a new development coilovers for the Auris.

please only if you are really interested in this then let me know..

thanks

Sounds interesting, but I'll be able to say if I want them or not only when I'll hear more about the company and the product itself: Would be nice to see the company's homepage to see the products they've allready done, then some specs of the new coilovers, like approximate price, amount of lowering, stiffness, and will the lowering and stiffness be adjustable or not? Before that, it's pretty hard to decide and I think most of the people on this forum will say the same thing...!

Best regards, Alex

Sorry, mate, but you don't expect all of us to register there just to read some topic, do you? Why don't you copy/paste what you wanted us to see instead? :)

P.S. As AlexC said, an approximation of the final price would be of huge importance! With all these aftermarket coilovers that are out there, that you can "see and touch", know what you'll get and for how much and don't even have to wait - you can just have it now, I think this would be a little causa perduta... Of course this is only my humble opinion...

Having had experience with coilovers in VAG based cars, I would much prefer to go with a known make such as Kw, Koni, Weitec.

I had KW3's and could not fault them, for adjustment to bump, rebound and height.

Also each model in the Auris range would need a different coilover, this being due to the different weights and spring poundage, also would these from MeisterR cater for individual height, bump amd rebound adjustment?

One size does not fit all cars.
