2001 2.2 RAV 3 door just had the yellow light that can only mean £££'s. Normally just rock on down to Mr T but only had the rear one go last summer and that cost me £250 inc Dynst. Any idea what part number i am looking for and is it easy to fit myself?

Many thanks as i know its a common question but can not seem to find what I'm after ;)

Hi Mr beer + welcome..Saturdays are a bit quiet on here, most people are watching THe scousers stuff the Mancs 4-1 :crybaby::crybaby: And TBH i am a bit thick + don't really understand your question, but I assume P1135 is a fault code.. of which i know nothing..However there are some very friendly + incredibly clever people on here who i am sure will be able to advise.. As the Doctors receptionist said to the midget you just have to be a little patient..

As far as I know a P1135 points to the heater cuircut on the o2 sensor on bank 1 being faulty, if that is the case it's like changeing a spark plug at one end and unplugging the loom at the other then re-fitting a new o2 sensor.

I'm sure someone who knows their way around the rav engine will point you to the location of the sensor for bank 1... or correct me if I'm wrong.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm sure that I've read of someone here tapping into the other O2 sensors heater wire to fool the ECU. The sensor is prob working OK, it's just the hurry up and work heater bit that's faulty.

Nice easy job if you've got the right tools. Seen some strip the threads when removed but only a couple.
