I actually rang Toyota GB about these & they said it was purely a dealer thing so can someone tell me are these coming from your dealer (car not drugs) or Toyota please?>

Thanks

My dealer knew nothing about it, and asked me to bring the paperweight in for them to have a look at.

However, they are a branch of a bigger main dealer, through whom all orders are channelled, and the main dealer may have had a hand in the sending out of the gift without telling the local dealership.

There was no clue on the wrapping as to the postal origin.

Anyone who knows someone who works at Toyota will be getting a paperweight for Chrismas/Birthdays/Chrisnings/Barmitsfas so iQ owners, don’t hold your breath in getting one :D

Hi,

got mine way back in December, I did order the car back in October

I was told by e-mail from Toyota customer service that these paperweights were only sent out to those who placed orders before they were in the show rooms. Out of interest, can anyone prove it different, because I want one! I accepted their answer because I thought those who ordered the car did 'have some guts'. I would never have done that!

We went into the showroom in early Jan, had a good look round and try out, and ordered one on the 12th of Jan.

Paperweight arrived on 5th Feb and picked car up on 7th Feb.

Hope that helps!

All,

I can understand we all want one, and why not? We are after all the real-life adverts for Toyota IQ, so keep pestering them!

I am quite amazed at the speedy delivery of IQ cars some of you have had, clearly these must not have been fitted with leather & sat/nav, because this majorly delayed my vehicle... for whatever reason. In fact, Toyota could not tell me about the leather (is it half leather + heated seats or full leather) until they saw my car! Talking about having confidence in the product when I ordered it late October (luckily I did see it in the flesh at Paris show last September).

Try to push for your request (outlining that you are the real-life adverts for Toyota IQ, so remind them to keep you happy) with Stephen Hinshelwood

(Lexus-Toyota Customer Relations Team Manager) @ customer.relations@lgb.lexus.co.uk Given that this chap is head of Lexus customer relations, he is more forgiving to customers requests. :)

Good Luck!!

Just called Toyota customer relations & a young lady called Kirsty will speak to the press & marketing office & call me back. Will let you know how I get on.
