Time To Replace Rear Brake Shoes?

They look relatively new to me. It is not unusual for the tip of the friction material closest to the brake caliper to wear fastest. The mimimum material thickness is quoted as 1mm.

I've never run them as low as that before but I've got pretty close. I would say you have another 20K left. Obviously check them at every service interval tho.

The orignals on my old Carina E lasted until 95K

To Loom,

Shoe to the right is your leading edge shoe & it looks OK. Just give them a good clean & de-glaze, maybe a touch of copper slip between shoe/back-plate.

Regards, Beagh.
