Engine Lag

hi,

my gen 7 celica has a problem when i step on the accelerator, it takes a few moments to rev like a lag.

it only happens when taking off cos the problem is at low revs.

when i tap the accelerator it jumps a bit then a second later goes higher.

hope that makes sense.

any ideas what it could be?

sounds to me as if you have air intake or slight timing issues that are just a bit out to cause lag when you accelarate.

Check air filters / breathers easy stuff etc. as a starting point

if this dont help maybe have it plugged in on diagnostics ?
