Upgrading Standard Starlet

i need some help with upgrading my standard 1.3 16v 1998 starlet engine , i was thinking of supercharging the engine is this easy to do ? or am i best taking the engine out and putting a turbo in please help need to get it ready for October the 3rd and the only thing letting me down is the speed , as much help will be great full :)

i would turbo it but its fairly expensive for pistons and tubos and manifolds. have you been on toyotaownersclub.com forum? everything you need to no bout starlets on there

it will be easier if you get a 4efte glanza engine (turbocharged)....less work involved
