2.0 Zr Low Power?

hey all! i got a '93 2.0 ZR import celica. problem is, im just not impressed with the power! for a 2 ltr its pretty sluggish :(

anyone got any ideas? everythings totally standard on it (for now :P )

its a little bit smokey, so im gonna change the stem seals, could that be anything to do with the poor power?

As far as I know the ZR only has the 3SFE engine which is around 130'ish bhp. Other 2.0l Celicas have the 3SGE which is nearer to 170bhp.

A 3SFE engine hasn't got a lot of power for a car as heavy as a Celi....
