I have got a question thats been bugging me for a while now, i have a corolla t sport and my mates has a celica t sport (and no it isnt a which one is the quickest / most aero dynamic bla bla bla post). i was just wondering why the Trip computer button does not work on his... i mean the radio has pritty much the same buttons etc although they look different but on my corolla t sport it displays the trip computer but on his it doesnt even though it has the button?

Any answers much appreciated.

I don't believe any of that information is fed to the stereo on the Gen7 Celica. They lack some of the wiring of say a Corolla, like vehicle speed sensor feed etc.

When I replaced my stereo in my face lift Gen 7, I did notice there was an additional connector block along with the rest of the stereo ones that was not plugged into anything.

Perhaps this has speedpulse and other info on it?

The blocks with arrows pointing to them.

When I checked all available connectors there wasn't a speed pulse on mine. In fact, the connector that the speed signal should reside hardly had any cables in it.
