Had my 07 Aygo for about 2 months now.

Had a couple of niggly issues.

Reverse light not working (not the bulb)

Rear bumper clips snapped on one side.

Steering wheel not straight.

Air distortion when one window is down.

Anyway, told my dealer this (Kings Toyata in Hedge End, Southampton) and they booked me in for a few days later with a courtesy car. Dropped my car off and they put me into an 09 Aygo MMT with only 50 miles on the clock. No excessex on the insurance either :)

I was interested to see how the new 09 compared to my 07. First off, the MMT is interesting to say the least. Not driven one before, but have driven plenty of autos in the past. Doesn't seem very intelligent and quite lazy to change gear, but once you've been driving it for a while you get used to it. Didn't like the long lurch between gear changes, and when stationary at say a roundabout and you really want to go for it it had a delay between the time I put my foot down and it actually doing something about it which was a bit unnerving.

Handling seem much firmer than my 07.

Noise, seemed to be a slightly quieter ride than mine, and the exhaust note has been turned down. (I prefer my 07)

All in all, a nice drive for a few hours.

Went back to the dealer and they had fixed the reverse light (faulty switch ?) and sorted out the steering wheel. They had to order up some clips and were going to also order me a new backbox. They then booked me in for a weeks time (yesterday) to do this.

The dealer always calls the day before just to remind you of the appointment which I thought was a nice touch.

Got to the dealer, this time I opted not to have a car as it was only a 1 hour whilst I wait job. Excellent seating/waiting area, decent coffee bar area, free wifi (great for business as I could carry on working). Job was done very quickly and then the customer service guy cam over and apologised for the delay as they were just waiting for the valet guy to do my car :) wicked, I don't mind waiting for him.

All in all, I am happy with Kings Toyota customer service time. Very friendly, efficient. Good service

Did they fix the "air distortion"? If so, what was the cause???

Hi Jan,

The air distortion is way better now, still there to some small degree. They changed the backbox for me.
