The horn on my D4D Yaris 2008 is pathetic to say the least.

I have a replacement which sounds much better (a Ford!!!)

How easy is it to access the horn?

It is quite easy...............................but why do you need to replace it?.............how often do you use it?

There's no really pressing reason, it's just that it sounds pathetic and I happen to have a spare one lying around.

It is easy to find and replace but it is so close to the grill that if you buy a horn it will probably be too big and you won't be able to shut the bonnet properly?

The horn is pathetic... it sounds like it doesn't want to offend anyone...

As for usage, i use mine everyday on my commuter home from work... No i'm not overly aggressive - theres a single track country lane with passing points, and at one point there's a blind corner. Always give a blip of the horn incase anyone round the corner isn't paying attention....

  • 2 years later...

I can't find my horn :crybaby: Mine stopped working a while back and I was going to give it a clean but I can't see it. It looks as though I may have to take off the front bumper but that seems a bit extreme. I have a 2006 Mark 2 if that's any help. Can someone help please?

Thanks and Happy New Year

Gordie

It's behind the upper radiator grill, just about behind the silver Toyota Badge. You'll need to at least move the bumper forward or take it off to gain access I'm afraid

I had feeling that it would come to that. Thanks for that though, at least it hadn't fallen off (and taken all the wiring with it lol). I just never thought that they would have put it in such an awkward place.

Thanks again
