Engine Check Light

Hey Fellas

I own

Toyota Opa

2000 Model

1.8 4wd VVTi - 1ZZ-FE

I encountered a new problem i think or just warning probably

when i rav speeding on highway the ENGINE CHECK light come on and when i tuen off the car no indication of ENGINE CHECK

Normal druive high speed no engine check light, is it becasue of raving speeding or............. need to get specialist advice????????????

drives normal water, oil all perfect thats the only worrying this why engine check.......

You need to find a garage with an OBD2 code reader, get them to check if there are any error codes stored in the ECU, if it's clear then you should be OK, if there is a code then you can take steps to get it sorted.

The problem could be anything, 1 of the engines many sensors is reporting a fault... it could be something very simple or it could be something more serious.. so get a garage to read your ECU for error codes.
