Oil Hose Fittings

Ok kind of got a problem with oil hose fittings. Bought an oil cooler kit off eBay and after barry giving me a few pointers i decided to buy a sandwich piece with a thermostat built into it. The problem is i have the hose fittings i got with the kit but they are a strange size, i am not too familiar with oil hose fittings so it might just be me not having a clue. The adapter fittings i got with the sandwich plate with the thermostat are 1/2 bsp, the female fittings on the hoses do kind of screw onto them but its not a tight fit. If you measure the diameter of the female fittings on the hose it measures around 7/8. I can't find any fittings this size but like i said im no expert.

Blue fitting is from the oil cooler kit, the other came with the sandwich plate which are 1/2 bsp.

Could be that the other fitting is metric.

Ok right this is sorted, for anyone in the midlands or in grantham (paul) there is a cracking place called pearsons hydraulic parts i got 2 new fittings plus oil seals for 2 quid and there is loads of other stuff in there, really worth a look.

Yeh i started to think that martin but it is a bit rare i think, most fittings are imperial apart from the flared bits which are described in mm's no matter what.
