hey hey

has anyone fitting a temp gauge on a yaris p1 before. i hate relying on the "idiot light" to tell me.

if anyone has done it can they tell me how to do it please?

This is not a job that is needed on a Yaris.

The "Idiot light" to which you refer has proved to be totally reliable over many years of Yaris production and the addition of a temperature gauge is IMO totally unnecessary.......................Save your money :thumbsup:

I would tend to agree with Red Yaris on this. When the indicator is blue, the engine is cold.....RED and somethings seriously wrong!! :crybaby:

If the light is never on (apart from when it's cold) then the temp is fine and no worries. :thumbsup:

You could fit a water temp gauge if you want as anything is possible though. ;)

Just to add that when the "Cold" (Blue/Green) light is showing it is advisable not to overrev the engine as it will not be at its full operating temperature until the light goes out. :thumbsup:

Under normal operating conditions the "overtemperature" (red) light should never come on...................apart from when initially starting the engine as a self test.
