Fitting A Water Temperature Gauge To A Yaris P1

has anyone fitting a temp gauge on a yaris p1 before. i hate relying on the "idiot light" to tell me.

if anyone has done it can they tell me how to do it please?

This is not a job that is needed on a Yaris.

The "Idiot light" to which you refer has proved to be totally reliable over many years of Yaris production and the addition of a temperature gauge is IMO totally unnecessary.......................Save your money

I would tend to agree with Red Yaris on this. When the indicator is blue, the engine is cold.....RED and somethings seriously wrong!!

If the light is never on (apart from when it's cold) then the temp is fine and no worries.

You could fit a water temp gauge if you want as anything is possible though. ;)

Just to add that when the "Cold" (Blue/Green) light is showing it is advisable not to overrev the engine as it will not be at its full operating temperature until the light goes out.

Under normal operating conditions the "overtemperature" (red) light should never come on...................apart from when initially starting the engine as a self test.
