The Aygo was crashed into by another driver this morning..

The other driver admitted liability and is being picked up on monday as-well as having a courtesy car delivered.

They creep out of an ally and drove straight into the side of the car, dented the wing and destroy the headlight.. the door is caved in and hanging off the hinges and the rear quarter panel is dented and all scuffed..

Also suspension has suffered but I'm not sure how bad.. Im going to hopefully find out the full details on monday when it is being assessed.

:(:(:(

Yea I'm so glad.. when it happened i could just imagine the other driving coming over balling and shouting and then it being a never ending battle of one word against an other and not getting anywhere but im so glad they admitted it was their fault.

Ouch! Looks nasty! Glad they admitted liability though!

Good job you had those rubber mouldings on! Sorry.

Don't tell the insurance they admitted liability, admitting liabilty invalidates their insurance.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Always frustrating.

Of course it doesn't! The insurance company can't escape their third party liability that easily.

Looks like a write off as I guess they won't be able to bang out that crease by the door. That's a shame.

That wont be a write off lol.

New door or reskin it, front wing, repair rear quarter/sill, alloy, repaint and repair any susp damage.

Seen cars alot worse off than this, its only panel damage really.

Thanks for all the replies.

It best not be written off.. as ill only get about £5000 from it :( I dont think it will be written off.. but i was talking to a friend who does body work and he said because of the place of the impact it might have bent the frame where the door bolts and and they might write it off due to cost of repairing everything.

Fingers crossed its not written off!

It shouldn't I agree but it CAN. I suggest you read that overly huge policy book you probably threw int he bin as it's boring as hell!

No sh*t, and there was me thinking they could bounce cars off

Actually that is the first thing you should tell you insurance company, it does not invalidate their insurance. Insurance companies hate when you admit fault, for obvious reasons, it costs them money, but it does not invalidate anything.

It was picked up on monday by the 3rd Party's insurance company and taken to a bodyshop and it's not written off.. I didn't think it would be. But it going to be about 3 weeks untill I get it back.. waiting for parts, refitting and re-sparying.

Glad to hear your Aygo will live to drive another day!

Hopefully getting the car back on Monday! In the mean time they gave us a 58 plate Ford KA (not one of the new shape ones sadly)

If you though the aygo was tinny try driving a for KA they are awful. It has the most hideous interior ever, pail grey dash and doorcards with green/pink seats. Urgh

Cant wait to get my baby back thou :)
