Clutch Squeals When Warm.

Hi,

Ever since I got my car the clutch squeals very briefly as I pull away. Only does this after the clutch gets warm. Like when you are crawling along in traffic.

The car still pulls in 3rd up a step incline OK and I don't have trouble getting the gear stick into 1st or 2nd, (usual clutch worn indications I believe), but nether the less is this a sign of the clutch needing replacing? Like when brake pads get too low they squeal.

Or is it just a clutch characteristic?

Thanks in Advance.............

My T180 has done 18k and I find when its very cold I have problems down changing 1st and 2nd gear for the first few miles but ok if the car is doing 5mph or less, not sure if this is common or just because its not run in yet but now the weather has warmed up its fine

That may be done to the gear box oil warming up. Once warm you get a smoother gear change.

My problem is not gear changing as such but the clutch making a noise.

Hi does that happen when you press and release the clutch pedal? If so I had the same problem a while ago they had to open up all the transmission, clutch pump included as far as i know and lubricate everything. Sound is gone now. If its the same issue its not the clutch worn out its simply a lubrication problem.

No the pedal travel is quiet and normal. It's as soon as I hit the biting point of the clutch as I lift the pedal it squeals............

I'm not sure if squeal is a good word as squeal may insinuate a high pitch noise. It's like a low bass quiet squeal. Sorry can't think of any word or phrase to describe it. I may just record the noise and post it.
