No Air Coming From Side Vent

I have a Avensis S reg, I can't seem to get any air coming through the air vents, could it be a blocked filter? I have looked at the manual but can't see any thing about getting it working

hello

in case the filter is blocked -- the windshield will be moisty at first starting of the climate fan.

but in case no any air coming from vents -- may be the problem is with kinematics.

Is it just the one vent or all vents?

Can you get air through the demister or floor level? Can you get the airflow to change from screen to floor? If it is a pollen filter blocked, you wont get much air through anywhere when on fresh air.

its the vents on driver and passenger side for fresh air, the air through the demister and floor level work fine

Not pollen filter then.

What about the centre vents?

I presume you have selected vents on the air direction control and have opened the vents with the manual control on each vent?

Have you looked through the vent to see that wheel that should open and close the vent is working, when I had an Avensis one of the vents came off it's runners inside so the wheel didn't do anything, it's possible that the flaps are stuck in the closed position inside.
