Hi rac3r

I love mine

My first, (and probably last), Celica

Malvern Drive

Build Quality = Spot on

Slight niggles -

  • AUX Belt Cam Tensioner 'whine' (Make sure your uncle buys a GT that's still within it's 3 year warranty period and he can get the AUX Belt problem fixed)
  • Occasional Airbag Warning Light glitch
  • Disabled TRD Spoiler Brakelight (now enabled )

  • Lack of TRD Rear Lip (fitting imminent )
  • Rattley boot area due to 'very stiff' suspension (now fixed with soundprrofing project)

Other slight niggle, (not really) - all the passers-by looking at your car.......... :jawdrop:

Hope this helps

Best Wishes

Felfy

Felfy that's nice car you got there B)

Don't worry about the model number I found it's just called Gen 7 I thought it would be something else like the Porsches have 997, 996, etc. Thanks for the info I'll pass it on to him. As for loosing half the power he has now I have no idea

I also went from an E46 M3 to a celica.... to save money and buy a house

Overall the celica over the BMW:

Wont handle as well

Will be noiser

Much less torque, so feels much slower

Is slower!

Not as many luxury gadgets

Plus points... cheaper to run, fix and generally own, and imo looks better!

Are the Celica VVTL-i GT rare & hard to find ? since it went sale in 05?? i am considering buying one in a yrs time, i know its same power as a Corolla t-sport i got at the mo, but with road tax costing so much its insane to say least! there are 2 other cars i was thinking of as nxt car - a mazda 3 mps, cheap price for such a 'new' car but road tax.........& a integra DC5 yet again road tax at £400....so performance isnt really my main priority now what with other stuff last half yr........
