Noisy And Sluggish Electric Window

I've had my 1996 3 door import RAV for over 5 years and never had such a reliable trouble free vehicle in my 39 years driving. However, I have one minor problem, the driver side electric window groans and is sluggish. Is this is a known problem and is there a service routine to help the problem? Any help appreciated!

My 1994 3 door doesn't have a problem with the drivers door window - works fine and has for 15 years. The passenger one screeches...and I've sprayed silicon lubricant into guides so its not that. I guess it must be the mech at the bottom of the window that needs lubed - too lazy to do it tho!!!

My 4.1 Gx drivers door has been like that for ten years its not got any worse.

all i know is its a lot better when it rains and the runner is wet so i guess it;s a lube problem.

but i am like Bothy cant be A**sed to fix it :D

The motor may have become noisey and they are worse under load. The silicone treatment is the easiest cure.

Thanks! :D I didn't really like the idea of removing the door panels so will try the silicone fix and it's good to know I'm the only lazy sod around here!
