Strange Noise From Motor

Hello everyone,

I hope someone can give me some suggestions about the following problem:

I hear a strange noise from under the motor cover.

It happens most when I go back from 3thd to second gear, and back from 4th to 3thd gear.

The noise is also very constant at 2000 t/min, for example 50km/h in 3th gear.

2 months ago, all the roller bearings of the gearbox were replaced in the garage.

Also the injectors were replaced.

Has anyone some suggestions.

Thanks a lot,

besides -- when you state the motor cover -- what do you mean -- valves driviing mechanizm cover or simply engine compartment bonnet?

please be more precise with the problem nature. by the way -- as BEAGH asked - it's required all details to start thinking. as far as we understood it is disel engine. OK then what is used to drive -- cam belt or chain and in case the belt -- when it was last changed (milage gone) and total milage of your car.

cheers/Igor

Hello everyone,

I will give you some more details about my car:

It`s an avensis D4D diesel, 115 bhp from the year 2004. He has about 90.000 miles (140000 km) driven.

The cam belt had been changed at 100000 km (60000 miles)

2 months ago, all the roller bearings of the gearbox were replaced in the garage.

Also the injectors were replaced there.

The noise is a kind of zooming noise that becomes most noisy when changing gear from 4th to 3rd gear, or from 3rd to second gear.

The car also zooms a lot at a an rps of 2000, f.e. driving 50 km/h in 3rd gear.

The noise is gone when you pull down the clutch.

The noise is coming from under the engine compartment bonnet.

When you open the bonnet and give some gas (without driving), I hear a small zooming noise but I can`t locate it.

hello

what was the issue with gear box that you changed the bearings?

whether all parts are fixed well without vibration?

please investigate it first.

Cheers/Igor
