St205 - Boost Raises With Oil Temp?

Hi all.

Today while cruising I were looking at stock boost gauge in my ST205 GT-FOUR and recognized that after 10mins of driving the boost meter showed cca 3/4 amount of boost on full throttle (water was warm). Than after couple of minutes it goes full boost (I also feel the difference). Is it a problem or it´s normal? It´s the boost amount regulated by oil temperature or what?

My GT-FOUR has 122.000kms on the clock. No oil consumption, no smoke... I think everything is fine, but this confused me a bit. Thanks

I can get full boost whenever i like, cold or hot. Are you sure it hasn't been mapped in the past as a save guard against hammering it when it is cold? check the ecu is stock.

the stock gauge is very inaccurate, have you got an aftermarket gauge, does that do the same thing

Aftermarket gauge not installed yet, but I really felt the difference... Today i drove it a bit "cold" than boosted and goes on full boost so don´t know what happened... Strange. Thanks anyway guys.

boost is limited in 1st and 2nd gear whilst cold , unless you install either a manual boost controller or an electronic controller.

Yes I know that, but that thing happened in 3rd gear... Hope for the last time. :-)
