15 Inch Alloys On 5dr With Standard Suspension - Ok?

I think this topic may have covered in previous posts, but can't find them. Will you get tyre rub problems with 15 inch alloys wearing 195 tyres on a 5dr aygo with standard suspension. I'm based in the west of Ireland with crap roads, so my other worry would be handling. It handles just fine on the standard wheels but would 15 inch alloys spoil the ride? Personally I think it would and 14 inch wheels would be a better choice but it's very difficult to find 14 inch alloys for sale on the web. It seems that 15 inch is the smallest available on most sites, even for the likes of the Aygo!

I was also thinking of the TTE 15 inch alloys as they use a narrower tyre, but it seems like an odd size of tyre (175/50 R15??)

Thanks,

Kevin

If you get 15" 195/45 R15, the rear wheels will rub ONLY if you have 2 adults in the back and hit bumps. Otherwise, they will not rub, and the handling is much improved. Also, the looks :D

Thanks,

I am usually on my own but have a couple of the kids in the back on the school run, and they wouldn't be too heavy. Is there such a thing a bump stops for the rear shock absorbers that can prevent the car bottoming out and tyres rubbing?
