Any one experienced this light coming on, on an 08 car. Apparently my Catalytic Converter is up the shoot at 4000 miles.

the most common problem to trigger ecu light is the fuel cap not being on correctly. Ask for the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) and I'll look it up for you

Go and blag Toyota about it. You might be able to get them to replace it under warranty. Thats what I did when my clutch went after 8,000 miles.

If its only done 4000 miles and is an '08 plate going by your details it will be replaced under warranty.

Not done any at our place though.

There is absolutely no problem about the warranty; I am just wondering what should cause this fault on such a young Toyota.

Could just be a manufacturing fault, poor materials or just unlucky.
