Hi My Rav4 D4D will rev up till 3500rmp then you need to change gear. Is this normal or will it be restricted.

no mate i to have a d4d i can take it as far as i want on the revs ,, perhaps someone else can advise you on what to do about your problem cause i would not have a clue over to you ancorman lol :thumbsup:

Sorry - don't all the cars have restrictions in Birmingham due to the traffic congestion? (sorry - respect!)

Sounds as if theres a wee problem there. A bit funny tho cos my turbo kicks in at 3500 and I run it up to 6500 before changing gear!! Thats petrol fur ye!!

Hmmmm!

You could do with seeing if there are any fault codes stored. Without any other info I suspect either the SCV valves or the turbo vac/variable nozzle device.

My money's on the SCV's being faulty! :thumbsup:
