Oil Min & Max Mark Query

Hello folks,

HUGE apologies for posting what many will think is a pretty simple question, but I cant seem to find my owners manual, nor had any definitive hits online so far, so here goes...

Can anyone tell me how much oil it takes between the min and max marks on the oil disptick?! Just checked it this afternoon and it was halfway between the 2 marks. Plan on popping to the shops tomorrow to top up.

I have a 2004 T3-X 1.8 Auto by the way.

Any answers VERY much appreciated, and thank in advance!

Mike

Usually aprox 1ltr. Best bet is to just do it a bit at a time making sure not to overfill.

Go to checking oil level in the owners manual, it tells you in there.

I would if I could find it, as per my original post ;)

PhilGee, QS - sound advice, I plan to do just that. I did suspect it was about 1 litre, but wanted some reassurance!

Many thanks folks.

I always though it was about 1 litre as a standard on most cars.

Was very surprised when I read the owners manual on my 2.0 Avensis to find that L - H on the dipstick is 1.8 litres.

That's a lot of oil!

sure

the oil volume is a calculated amount of oil that can take heat oit from the engine parts.

the more engine volume the more oil in the sump.
