Right I've got a car and a sun. Its a mutant one 450w. Just wondering if anybody could tell me what I need to fit it, using the stock stereo on the aygo blue?

I read somewhere something about a high to low level converter?

Has anybody fitted one using the stock stereo?

Thanks yaz

Yes, I have. The stock stereo has no RCA out, but the active sub I bought had the wires to allow me to splice them with the 4 original speaker wires. I upgraded the front Speakers to Alpines, but the stock stereo output was just too weak to make use of this upgrade.

I suggest you'll need to do something the mid to high pitch ranges more powerful to match your sub. Maybe a new head unit (min 4x40W) and some 6x9s ?

cheeers!

i was looking at keeping the stock headunit because it just looks right, but looks im gonna have to upgrade as i was thinking of changing the front and back Speakers and maybe putting some in my parcel shelf.

I used the standard head unit with a sub and different (3 way) front Speakers. For me the sound is very good, just need to adjust the cutoff frequency for the sub as high as possible. That way the headunit doens't have to do the low notes, and those are the ones that consume the power. The standard head unit is more then enough to drive the standard Speakers for high and mid range.
