T180 Rough 1st To 2nd Gear Change

Hi,

Anyone else noticed from cold the 1st-to-2nd gear change is noticaably rougher and then really goes away once warm (i.e 20 minutes). I 've had the car from new and it's 2005, only 40000 miles. Always been slightly rougher but seems to be more noticable now. Generally change gear at about 2000 rpm but I've tried at different revs and its the same - the only common factor is it's OK once warm? A bit baffled to be honest cause there's no that much heat or change in the properties of the gearbox once warm - is there

My SR is the same, it's awfull when cold and gets better when warm which means it's the oil... I have a 20 year old Pajero as well and this was the same, I've changed the gearbox oil to ATF fluid and it's been much better, this is a trick used a lot but not mentioned much as it voids warantees etc, but if yours is outside the warantee then give it a go.....
