I think it all depends on which insurance company you're dealing with....

My last insurer, Esure, were satisfied that my A'PEXi was a "non performance enhancing modification"

Ok.... decided to see what would happen if i declared my mods.... current insurer (Swiftcover) do not like mods at all and will not let me change things....

So rung Adrian Flux, fully comp, all mods declared, lower excess, better policy benefits.... all for the same price i'm paying now! :o

I be changing my insurance!!

Back to the topic at hand...

the TTE backbox or remus backbox will defo be on my car instead of the standard backbox

not too sure which one i'll pick though.

apart from price are they pretty much the same?

can't seem to find a remus one for the CTS, anyone got a link?

The only difference is the name on the chrome tips, just go to Mr T and buy one.

^^ That's correct. Similar to the TTE springs being rebadged Eibachs, the TTE exhaust is a rebadged Remus. If you can't find a Remus one, then grab the TTE one from Toyota. If youcan find one then take whichever is cheapest as they are identical.

Side note.... the TTE backbox is a 'factory fit optional extra' just like the skirts/spoiler etc. If it was fitted from the birth of the vehicle toyota will provide evidence to such effect. 'IF' it was not fitted on car production it would need declairing. :P

Good job i'm changing my insurance then to declare all mods and save £15 for doing so

Hi

I know this is a very old post but does any one have the part number for this single TTE back box?

Andy.
