Is It Possible To Fit Heated Mirrors?

Hi,

I have an 05 plate Avensis T2 with enough toys for me but with one exception - heated mirrors. The current ones have the electric adjustment but aren't heated. Does anyone know if it's possible to fit them? ie is the wiring already in place such that I only need to fit heated glasses and a relay, or is the whole casing and assembly different etc?

Are you 100% sure that their not heated. Normally it says in the manual when you press the rear window heater it also turns the heaters in the mirrors on as well. Do they fold in electrically. I think because its a T2 which is the lowest model.

I haven't physically felt them to see if they get hot but according to any spec info I can find the T2 doesn't have them.

My 02 Avensis GS has got them, they come on with the rear screen heater. Would seem strange for later models not to have them.

Might be becasue its the T2 which is the lowest model in the range. Mine has the heaters in the mirrors.

I know that TRs have heated mirrors but I don't think that T2s do.

Having said that the demist/defrost performance on mine (& the rear screen) is nothing like as fast as the equivalent on my Vauxhalls so you aren't missing much.

Ahhhhh, so thats how they work, LOL, I always wondered why the mirrors wernt heated....Now i know they are...LOL :P
