Seats...

The interior or the MR2 is a little bit tatty...

Not terrible, but it could use a bit of TLC.

I'm gonna replace the leather gear gaiter and am thinking about a new gearknob as well, and some new mats, but that's not as important as the seats.

I was thinking about getting them retrimmed either in leather or some synthetic leather type stuff that doesn't get sticky or burn the backs of ya legs etc when the sun comes out.

Or should I invest in some nice 'proper' bucket seats - Recaros or something like that?

Which do you think would be more expensive?

depending on what seats you went for... that would make a price difference.

I was gonna get my seats re-trimmed, but due to the hassle I'm getting new ones instead.

I'm getting red/black Sparco Torino seats.. about £300ish each.

But I have seen seats alot cheaper than this.

Getting your seats re-trimmed could cost you £500+

The old cheese knows a guy who retrims interiors, ya see...

I could probably get it a little cheaper, but I'm thinkin that maybe new seats would be a better idea because I don't want the car to be off the road. Only just got it - I wanna be driving it!!!

yeah.. that's also the reason I decided to go for new seats.

If you're thinking of re-trimming in leather, why not go for the Import Leather seats approach i.e leather surrounds with Suade interiors - stops the old legs from sticking to a hot seat in the summer.
