2 Diffferent Hi-ace's In The World ?hmm...

Is there any reason why there are 2 different Hi-ace's currently sold new depending on continent & both made in japan im sure of? & didnt asia/european ones same some year ago in the 90's ? Here is the one sold in UK / Europe & here is one sold in Asia/Australasia maybe carribean region Not sure which one i like look of but the Asia(japan) one i seen lots of pictures of customised ones that looks funky!! ;)
