Possible Turbo Trouble ?

I have got a d4d 2.0 avensis 55 plate, this is my first ever diesel and the thing is that when i am driving the car, at about 2000 or 2500 rpm you can feel like a push i am assuming that is turbo, but my question is are you suppose to feel that push right the way through the revs after 2000 rpm, or is that you get that and then it goes.

Someone help me out as i have no idea, and if there is a problem any ideas of what to do.

Thanks.

Thanks for the info, still bit concerned as i thought when the turbo kicks in at about 2000 - 2500 rpm it is suppose to go all the way up the revs untill redline ?
