Time For The Swap

Ok I'm switching my 3sge engine to a 3sgte at the end of the month, I'm just waiting on some parts to start.

Can anyone help me sort out a few things?

Im going to keep it FWD so will the tranny from the 3sge fit onto the 3sgte?

I realize i will need the turbo MR2 box but will that fit into the tranny i have?

I'm getting a stage 3 clutch so I'm fine there

I wont be upgrading the turbo on it quite yet so the fuel system should be able to stay as is right?

The engine I'm buying has the ECU and wire harness with it so no worries there but does anyone know of a manual or something to help me with the swap?

One last thing, the externals of the 3sgte are basically the same minus the turbo parts so am I going to need to buy a new hood with the scoop like the gt4's have or is that just for looks?

Any help would be appreciated thanks!!

The scoop is just to get air inside the cam belt cover you could always just take the top cover off, some people do this some don't. Probably a good idea to get a gt4 or custom bonnet to let some heat escape.

well Ive got a few hoods in mind that i wouldn't mind but if it wasn't a necessary switch then i wasn't gonna bother but thanks for letting me know :)
