Hi My 2005 4.2 auto petrol is going in for its 60k service soon.

Does anyone know if they change the auto box oil, air filter engine oil etc?. As i cant find out any were just exactly what they do .

Please can anyone who has had it done lately let me know ?

Because my air filter is very dirty and don't want to spend money if it's changed on the service.

Many thanks

Alan

If you ask they should tell you what they are going to do.

I'm sure I read on here recently that auto box oil should be changed every 20k so if it hasn't been done for a while I would get it done. In my experience engine oil is changed at every service (has been on every car I've owned).

Also, check if brake fluid has every been changed as it's best to do this every 2 years.

On my recent 3rd year/30k service I was charged (Toyota dealer) :-

8.92 brake fluid

31.29 engine oil

0.88 plug

7.50 oil filter

22.50 auto trans fluid

21.79 air filter

plus 64.95 for the "service cost" (labour I assume)

and then VAT on top.

Hope this helps
