Tyres?

Hi,

Can anyone advise me on tyres? Currently the Hilux I'm going to get has A/T's on it but one of them is illegal and the other rear is getting there. The Surf is already coming with 1 spare tyre but I won't use it because then I'll still have to buy 2 tyres for it anyway!

About how much am i looking at for 2? and can anyone recommend anywhere?

I did think scrap yard but I did that on my old Civic and in the rain was.... eventful to say the least, don't really want to try that in a 2 ton truck :P

Also, what tyres are the best in your opinion? My uncle has had the same set of tyres on his Hilux 2.4 for the last 6 years :o!!

My cousin tried pushing me towards the huge off road, knobbly tyres but that would be a wasted purchase for me at the moment when i still have to get the jeep on the road.

Thanks :D

Hi Vincent.

I personally have only ever bought the B.F.Goodridge A/T's as they seem to perform very well on and almost as good off road and they seem to last.I paid approx £70 per tyre, fitted them myself and took them for balancing at £5/wheel

Cheers

Paul
