Did this model come with a lockable wheel nut on the spare tyre, as mine does not have one?

Hi and welcome. Can't answer your question myself but there will be somebody along who can. I don't even have a spare wheel :(

My wife's 2001 NRG has a lockable wheel nut on the spare

The lockable nut does come with a little cover to make it look like a normal nut, also it's possible that you've lost one of your nuts at a service and they've used the one off the spare

Amazing the qualifications of these Toyota Techies now. Is it done under general anesthetic?

Agree with Duncs. My old VX certainly had 5 locking wheel nuts. Think there were a total of 3 nuts (inc 1 locking) holding the spare on.

I've still got the brochure. Don't have access to it at the moment, but when I do, I'll try and remember to check if it makes any mention of the nuts on each trim level, just for completeness, but I can't see why it shouldn't be any different. Fairly certain they were fitted on import or at the dealer before delivery.

EDIT:

Yep brochure shows locking wheel nuts by default for all models.

Thanks

My model has a hard wheel cover so I am not sure it is the same on the models you mention.

Thanks all the same.

Shouldn't make any difference as far as I know:

On RAV number 1 I use the standard alloy makers wheel nuts. On RAV number 2, I have 5 wheel nuts on each wheel and 3 on the spare, all of which need a sized allen key to unlock nuts.
