It's definately a second generation Surf (not the Surf in my avitar,that's my daily drive)

The spare is the undrslung type so no cover i'm afraid.

I have plenty of spare wheels though with pretty good tyres on and also spare rims.

There is also a set of 16" rims(no tyres)

Hi Rob

The tailgate motor,mechanism and window were the first things to go. Quite a common problem on the surf.

If your rear motor has failed, you can swap the N/S rear passenger motor for the one in the rear door,it's a straight swap.
