He hasn't chipped it which has annoyed him no end - he can't :(

He might have had the ECU updates but i'm pretty sure he had that benchmarked quite a long time ago now, possibly before the ECU updates but i will let John answer that.

It is promising but a few jap t180's have been RR-d and have shown 180bhp + as standard. Some of them slightly down on torque tho.

Its a company lease and the leasing company wont let him touch the engine with a barge pole :(

There are good chips out there too, some taking it to 215bhp and some claiming 500nm of torque.

10 points for paying attention Old Skool!

ECU hasnt been re-flashed, according to the dealer it falls outwith the time frame, but then again they cant tell the difference about front or rear brakes!! (They 'fixed' the front when I complained that the rear were squeaking!)

worth noting that most of the diesel tuning boxes can be fiited and removed without trace

Yea but it would be a right pain if he had a bad crash and the inspector found a tuning box installed and then the company refused to pay out and he got sacked. That wouldn't be fun :(

Easy to remove if you can get out the car yourself and open the bonnet. But what if you cant? Then along with the rest of the hassle you then get sacked. So not worth the risk for a few bhp and mpg
