Exhaust End Diameter?

Hi

Girlfriend away for a few days with my 4.2. Noticed that lidl are selling chromed / stainless exhaust end jobbys. These are 30 to 50mm and 40 to 55mm. Anyone know the size of the exhaust end as I cant measure it?

sorry can't helpas I'm running a pretty big diameter pipe on the number 1.

On the original I think the end is splayed so the larger size might be safer.

Think they are about 62 or 65mm from memory.... pretty large :unsure: as I have been after one for a while but finding them to fit is difficult... (mine being the Diesel though)

Can't remember the exact sizes, 64mm seems to ring a bell 4.2 diesel, but you can get universal ones up to 75mm, see pic, although i removed that one as IMO it didn't look right from the side, the one i have now is a straight chrome one fastened by a single grub screw available from Maccess in 60mm 65mm +70mm..though you can order them from most accessory shops as they don't usually stock them that size..

ONE way to measure the diameter other than a caliper etc, is to press a piece of paper/card against the end of your exhaust then measure the resulting ring..

the guys that do custom exhausts would maybe have an 'off-cut' that would do - depends on their attitude. You must have one or more locally. Or just pinch the one from Local Heros whilst he's out hackneying.
