Hi all, managed to get my Mongoose exhaust on today and noticed the rear back box mount (on the car) has rusted through :(

Lucky the bracket is bolted on not welded so easy to swop out, its just finding a replacement. Anyone else come across this problem

and do you think Toyota will stock the part at a sensible price :)

To be honest mate if you have a welder just make it yourself or go to a workshop if you can't find the part. I suppose you could just find someone breaking the car you have probably be the cheaper option.

For example

Cheers for the heads up, i`v sent him a message :)

Not got a welder, but might treat myself one day.

Tell ya this dam exhaust is loud! :o Didnt think mongoose's were that bad, but that was going back abit.

Is noticibly more responsive though. Going to see if i can live with it, if not a re-thinks in order :(

Didn't you get a bung with it? I got a bung with my exhaust for track days, makes it a bit more quiet

Don't just message him he seems like he is making a business from breaking sometimes better to contact someone doing it on a one off probably get it cheaper.

ok this is a bung, goes in your tailpipe, should be a hole in your tailpipe where the bolt goes thru to keep it in place

Ah see now, Nice! never come across one before, looks like a handy bit of kit though :)

I have a twin pipe so would need twin bung's if they do that, don't think this one has that option.

Not sure this exhaust was a good move, its loud and hanging much to low which is making it look stupid.

Am hoping the new bracket will sort it. Got one on order with Toyota for £10 which isn't to bad.

Cheers for the bung heads up
