Congratulations, what colour are you getting, 3 or 5 door?

It's an ice blue metallic 5 door that was retro fitted at first purchase with bluetooth. There is 14K on the clock and nothing has been done under the warranty. I drove an old Toyota Crown years ago which was a big car but a real superior ride and drive and am looking forward to going back to the Toyota brand in this little city car.

The support received on this forum has been fantastic - I shall know where to come with any questions or queries.

Hi Mate. I had A S reg Ford Feista and my misses really adored the car. (i wasnt keen on it lol) any How i went to the toyota dealer as im a huge jap fan and toyota is very very reliable. i went to get a yaris but the salesman showed me an Aygo. i fell in love with it. The safety rating is excellent and the options available for the car is good. the wind noise isnt that bad as it is made out to be. i travel alot on the motorway and it doesnt bother me. ive got the 1.0 vvti myself and find it very nippy. ive raced many cars in my local town and it wont disappoint you. (Civic type R wasn't Happy) Any how i would highly recommend an AYGO to Anyone.

Birddy

PS Civic Type R Will Do You on a Duel Carriage way. Only Race on Short Windy Roads. (i.e Towns)

Many Thanks

The only problem I have is going home in it, I know it sounds like a advert, But I do actually look for the long way home nowadays.

Hi Dessibel,

I'm new to this forum and have to confess I don't actually own an Aygo, but its sister car - a Pug 107 instead. I just joined this forum to pick up some tips about maintaining my car etc.

My car is a base model 3dr 1.0 which I bought in May '08 to replace a troublesome 3 & a half yr old Mondeo, and a Fabia VRS (I wanted to save some money). In the 14 months I've owned it, the only tiny thing I could fault is a slight metallic vibration from the exhaust at certain revs. Nothing that would trouble me or worth asking the garage to look at under warranty, and I've certainly not had any of the probs with water leaks that a minority mention.

I use it every 2-3 days for a 100 mile a day round commute - lift sharing with 2 colleagues. It covers town, rural roads, and the main A1 dual carriageway - all with no probs at all. It has certainly fulfilled its purpose for me and has saved me a fortune over the 14 months I have owned it. I recently contemplated selling it, but have decided to keep it as I enjoy driving it and it is so reliable, cheap to run and maintain (and tax!).

I know your original post is 3 months old and you are probably now enjoying your new purchase, but thought I'd add my thoughts in case anyone else is considering buying one of these cars. Anyone reading these car forums can work themselves into a state of depression about all the potential faults their car might have, or be put off purchasing one in the first place... it's a bit like being a hypochondriac except for cars :) You would find exactly the same if you searched forums for other reliable cars like the Fabia, Mondeo, Fiesta etc. I love my car, and I'm a 35 yr old professional guy who's owned numerous cars from run of the mill family saloons through to prestige and sports cars. In many ways, the 107/Aygo/C1 beats them all - probably explains why I've had it 14 months so far and intend to keep it, despite working through 3 other cars in the year before this one!
