Hi Guys,

Can you help does anyone know where I can get an Auto dimming rear view mirror

Have been quoted £381 from local dealer which I think is well over the top

I have registered with 247 spares but no luck

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Andy and welcome to the Toyota home for the confused/deranged,

£381 is enough to make your eyes water - I'll be handling mine with kid gloves from now on. Our resident parts dealer on the forum is "Parts King" ( or Kingo usually ), he will probably be able to offer you a discount on a new mirror - whether that will soften the blow enough is up to you. Just PM him for a quote, he won't eat you unless you are wrapped in crusty pastry, i.e. a pie! I'll check our local jap 4x4 breakers to see if they have a mirror if that would help, but don't hold your breath as they would probably disappear pretty quickly.

My RAV4 came with a Gentex mirror with compass from the dealer. It was listed as a port-installed option. I've seen them on eBay for a lot less than was charged on my window sticker.

I believe Gentek are the suppliers of the original fit auto dimming mirror, they also have the contract to supply the facelift RAV with an auto dimming mirror with built in camera monitor for reversing cameras
