Ordered a K&N induction kit, just got a mail asking what engine and does it have an AFM.....engines easy, having not looked very hard at that side of the engine and knowing little about toyotas,

DOES IT HAVE AN AFM?

Someone tell me quick so i can mail them back :D

I don't think that the AFM is actually a dial, that you can read from... as far as I know it's part of the air box which controls the amount of air brought into the engine?

Anyway, If I'm wrong I don't care cos I'm going to work in a minute. 2 - midnight... what a lovely shift.

AFM is a big flap .. or a hot wire ..

It's in the black box in the engine bay behind the airfilter ..

the more air that goes in the wider the flap gets (or cooler the hot wire) and the higher the resistance read .. this is how the ECU know the volume of air going in ..
