Oil For Avensis D4d

Hi all,

Could someone give me the recommended oil for a 2004 Avensis D4D 2.0 litre? Gotten some different ones (including from the Toyota main dealer who wasn't even sure!!)

do you have manual for the car you own?

whether respective oil has been refered in?

i'd use 10w40 or 15w40 semi

I can't believe Toyota dealer don't know which oil, what would they put in if they serviced it!!

Its all in the owners handbook if you have one if not I will check mine ...... here it is :- ACEA B1, API CF-4 or CF (you may also use API CE or CD SAE 5W-30 preferred but you can use 10W or 15w-40

All the above specs are on the oil containers when you buy it, if it's not don't buy it!

*Please note:- The 1AD-FTV with DPF catalytic converter engine uses ACEA C2 (or B1) only and prefers SAE 5W 30.

Hope this helps, if you take this oil spec sheet to any good motor factors they will help you i'm sure.
