hi i'm new to the forum, i currently have a 1.8 avensis mk1.

i was looking at a yreg avensis d4d with around 100k on the clock to put onto a taxi plate, can any1 tell me what the common faults are and what i need to look out for when buying one?

I would say the most common fault on the 2.0 d4d avensis of that age and miles would be flywheel. There of the dual mass type and can require replaceing.

Thats the only real fault with them,

- on some cars, headlight reflectors are poor.

But the d4d is the biggiest fault on them

not really ...

nothing major

unless you want to

have a look at

- headlights

- starter motor

- lots of black smoke.
