4.1 Wheels On A 4.2

Good evening Ladies and Gents.

Having been sat in the garden all day I noticed a old set of alloys off my 4.1 that IMHO would look very nice on my 4.2

Can anyone please tell me if they will fit my 4.2 ? and can i swop the tyres over as the old ones are 215 wide and the ones on my 4.2 are 235 wide

Can't remember the 4.2 specs, but the wheels will probably fit. However the 235 will give you a better track than the 215s. Best way is to try fitting one wheel on the front and check that the tyre doesn't rub against the arch - if ok then fit the rest and take it for a trial run....and see how it feels. Things to watch for is the front wheel not touching the caliper and its tyre valve not fouling the caliper either.

A set of steel 4.1 wheels that I woz sold will not fit my 4.2 there is not enough clearance for the front brake calipers so I doubt Yer alloys will fit. I would not want to go to skinnier tyres.
