95 Celica GT (5S-FE) performance HELP

This celica is great in all kinds of ways, but of course people like me need better performance. I'm looking for any working ideas, sites that for sure have something for this car, and/or what ever you want to write down to help. Thanks a lot, i'll be checking in by the hour!

Swap in a 3SGTE and your performance problems will be taken care of. The 3SGTE is a powerful engine stock, and ther is really no limit to the power it will make.

If ya want some reasonable power hikes from the original lump ya should first sort out the breathing, sod puttin a cone filter on its own the heat from the engine will soon sap all the power gains and could even put you at a loss! box off round the Battery with carbon sheetin encasing the filter and add a cold air feed in the little space you have got! with that sorted remove the cat!!!! instant gains and a better response oh and it sounds good too! ya will soon be beatin fto's, type Rs and sx's! has anyone chipped one of these? any gains? ive tried a ecu fooling resistor but would not recommend it as it caused the engine to run iregular!

neo what your sayin is that just by removing the cat and addin a intake will beat a typeR thats impossible because i did all that and still cant beat an GSR im thinkin of gettin cams and pistons soon thou so i can beat them damn hondas

its all about the drivin too!!! the mods are cheep and does breath new life into the engine im on 18"s was running 15.2 at santa pod only other thing was a performance clutch from helix. where are the cams comming from? i wouldnt mind givving them a try!! anyone super charged 1, can you get a universal kit from the states to fit?

the cams im goin to get them custom made or get an 3s cams and the pistons ae gonna ge the 3s and yea if anyone know anything about the supercharger for the 5sfe let me know

The 5SFE engine was designed for low end power, and getting cams to raise the redline will not really be that much of a gain I hv heard, but I could be wrong. Check out www.MR2.com
