Revs Go Up When Heater Is On

hi all does anyone get the same prob . when you put the heater on to hot the engine revs go up from 900 to 1100 . even when the blue engine temp gauge has gone out . thx

Mine does this too, thought it was only when the engine was cold though.

Mine does the same, as does my other car (a Mazda). I believe it's normal behaviour - the engine speeds up to keep charge flowing into the Battery when the heater fan runs.

had a fiddle with the heater today . engine has to be really warmed up . thx for yr reply
