Is It The Speaker Or The Alternator?

Hi,

I suddently have a high pitched whinning noise coming from my passeger side front spreaker, but am not quite sure what is causing it. The whinning seems to be in sync with the alternator, when I accellerate or simply rev the engine the pitch of the whinning noise changes accordingly.

I suspect it is the speaker that has become faulty but am worried that it may actually be the alterniator!

Has anyone had this? Or know what I can do to try and work what it is?

try running an earth wire to the head unit body, sometimes the ariel acts as earth which isnt the correct way

Now it doesn't make sense, as randomly as it started, it has stopped?!!??

I will try running that earth wire next time I open up the central console
