Still Same Problems D4d

Hello.

So as i mentioned before, i have some problems with my avensis D4D 2001 year.

I run 10000km with it and still same problems: oil consumption is 3 l for 10000km (ELF 5W40), low torque, fuel consumption is 10L/100 km in city winter (av speed 23 km/h).

I was in Toyota service and they told me that the problem is with turbo charger. (found oil where must be vacuum), and said to go to the turbo service. Ok i went. And in turbo service checked that turbo is working, the pressure is 1 bar, the turbo propeller is unbroken.

So where i can find the problem??

hello

how did they check with your T/C? Have you seen? Whether they connected hot gas or compressed air from gas inlet side?

How did they measured scavanging air pressure? What does it mean as (found oil where must be vacuum) --- please be more precised.

I'd agree with MrT due to your fuel consumption but as clear vissible your turbo does not receive sufficient gases quantity to reach rotor velocity as per engine load. By the way -- do you have cam belt or chain? When was injection timing last checked/adjusted?

Cheers/Igor

Your turbo may be working ok, the turbo fans intact but the oil seals on the turbine shaft are gone if it is passing oil. Also the bearings and shaft may be worn. Check for oil in the inlet, also does it smoke from the exhaust? Oil leaking from the seals will pass into the inlet turbine and be blown into the inlet pipes and manifold or pass into the exhaust side of the turbo. This should be visible in the exhaust smoke.
