Aftermarket Fse Power Boost Valve

Afternoon all....

I can purchase an aftermarket FSE Power boost valve which claims to add 12hp to my 2.0 GT.

Is this mod woth the £90 or should I put the money to better use.....

The mod is meant to be a direct replacement with an adjuster to allow extra fuel in...

Should I stay clear or go for broke.....

It replaces the original fuel valve, regulator and lines with uprated sports performance equipment.

Comes with full fitting/tuning instructions and all adaptors, fixtures and fittings required for a complete installation

Will increase fuel-flow rate by 1.7 times which results in quicker acceleration and an average increase of 12hp!

Throttle hesitation is greatly improved

Fits directly onto existing engine/fuel components

Normal fuel economy is maintained if driven at lower revs

**Will only fit engines with an External Fuel Regulator and Valve, MPi engines**

eBay item No:280261930324

Cheers

extra fuel requires extra air for the oxygen content, otherwise it burns rich and fouls spark plugs. where is that going to come from ? the ecu governs fueling duration at the injectors , will the ecu wait untill this extra fuel is put in ???

for bhp gains look to improving the exhaust system, fit a decat pipe , fit a kn panel filter , or induction kit

these things on eBay work for turbo engines , not much use on a non turbo -save your money.

Thanks again... I have the K&N 57i induction and the decat is going on within the next 2 weeks. Its got the sports back box...

So it looks like i would be better using the money to finance the de cat....

you wont get much bhp gains on the 3sge by adding small mods - your better off buying the st205 gt4 , the mother of all celicas. i wore nappies for the 1st week of ownership ,when i had mine.

With this being my first Toyota I know it wont be my last... The money is not there for me at the mo but its a definate future thought.

I love the GT4 in white. Just looks the part.

I have too many bills at the mo for an upgrade but its in my mind for the future....

Whats the best in your eyes.... A GT4 import..... or a UK spec GT4. What year etc... so i can go on dreaming....

import all the way 1999 models should be in the uk now - look for an unmodded one , i added a manual boost contoller and was close to 300 bhp for £25 - truely awesome beast .

suspension lets the st205 down though , it has super strut which is basically made up from 3 sections , camber arm , banana arm and fig of 8 link arm , all 3 cost in excess of £400 , but its usually the camber arm and fig 8 that fail , at mileage from 50k , once changed though the handling is similar to that of a go - cart around corners.

1995 models can be bought for about £2500 nowadays
